1. Who we are
BuyerIQ (“BuyerIQ”, “we”, “us”) is a buyer and market intelligence application for export and sales teams. It is powered by Neophar Pharmaceutical and developed by Ritesh Chaudhary. This policy explains what information the BuyerIQ application and this website handle, why, and the choices you have.
If you have any question about this policy, contact us at ritesh252641@gmail.com.
2. Summary
- BuyerIQ is a local-first desktop application. Your data, including connected email data, is stored on your own computer, not on BuyerIQ servers.
- We do not sell your data, do not use it for advertising, and do not use Google user data to train generalised AI or machine-learning models.
- Connecting Gmail is optional. If you connect it, BuyerIQ uses it only to send the emails you ask it to send and to find replies to those emails.
- BuyerIQ’s use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
3. Where your data lives
BuyerIQ runs on your computer. The spreadsheets you import, the buyer and company records it builds, your leads and notes, and the emails and conversations it handles are stored in a local database on your device. We do not operate a BuyerIQ cloud service that receives or stores this information, and we cannot see it.
BuyerIQ only contacts outside services when a feature you use needs them, and only the services you have set up. These are described in section 7.
4. Information BuyerIQ handles
Information you provide or import
- Spreadsheets and trade or shipment data you import (for example .xlsx, .xls, .csv or .tsv files), which may contain business names, contact details and transaction information about companies and people you deal with.
- Records you create in BuyerIQ, such as buyers, leads, pipeline stages, notes, tags and email templates.
- Questions you ask the assistant.
Information BuyerIQ retrieves for you
- Public web research: when you research a company, BuyerIQ retrieves publicly available web pages and stores the facts it extracts together with the source URL and the date they were checked.
- Email data from accounts you connect, described in section 5.
Configuration and credentials
- Settings, and any API keys you enter for optional services (such as an AI or web-search provider).
- OAuth tokens or mailbox passwords for connected email accounts. These are encrypted with your operating system’s credential store and are never stored in the BuyerIQ database, written to logs or sent to us.
You are responsible for having a lawful basis to import and use any personal information about third parties (such as buyer contacts) that you bring into BuyerIQ.
5. Email accounts and Gmail
Email outreach is optional. You can connect a Gmail account (Google OAuth), an Outlook / Microsoft 365 account (Microsoft OAuth), or another mailbox using SMTP and IMAP (for example Hostinger Email). For Gmail and Outlook you sign in on Google’s or Microsoft’s own page, and BuyerIQ never sees your password.
Google permissions requested
| Permission (scope) | Why BuyerIQ needs it |
|---|---|
openid, email, profile | To identify which Google account you connected and show its address and name in BuyerIQ. |
gmail.send | To send the individual emails you write or approve in BuyerIQ, from your own Gmail account. |
gmail.readonly | To find replies to emails you sent from BuyerIQ and attach them to the right lead and conversation, and to detect opt-out requests in those replies. |
BuyerIQ does not request permission to delete, modify or label your mail, manage your settings or access your contacts.
How BuyerIQ uses Gmail data
- Sending. BuyerIQ sends only the messages you create or approve. Each recipient receives a separate, personalised message. AI-drafted replies are drafts only and are sent only when you press Send.
- Reading replies. To check for replies, BuyerIQ looks at the header details (such as sender, subject, thread and reply references) of new messages received after you connected the account. It stores the full content only of messages that belong to a conversation started from BuyerIQ, or that come from someone you emailed from BuyerIQ (offered to you as a possible match). Other messages are ignored and not stored.
- Opt-outs. If a reply asks not to be contacted again, BuyerIQ records that address as opted out so you do not email it again.
- AI reply drafts (optional). If you have configured an AI provider and you ask BuyerIQ to draft a reply, the text of the conversation you selected is sent to that provider (Anthropic) solely to generate the draft you requested. Nothing is sent unless you ask for a draft.
Gmail data is stored only in the local BuyerIQ database on your computer. It is not transmitted to us or to any BuyerIQ server.
Disconnecting and revoking access
You can disconnect an email account in BuyerIQ at any time. You can also revoke BuyerIQ’s access to your Google account at myaccount.google.com/permissions. Microsoft accounts can be managed at account.microsoft.com. After you revoke access, BuyerIQ can no longer send or read email through that account.
6. Google API Services: Limited Use
BuyerIQ’s use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. In particular:
- We use Google user data only to provide and improve the user-facing email features described in section 5, which are visible in BuyerIQ’s interface.
- We transfer Google user data to others only as necessary to provide those features at your request (for example, sending the selected conversation to the AI provider to draft a reply you asked for), to comply with applicable law, or as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets with notice to you.
- We do not use or transfer Google user data for serving advertisements, including retargeting, personalised or interest-based advertising.
- We do not sell Google user data, and we do not use or transfer it to determine credit-worthiness or for lending purposes.
- We do not use Google user data to develop, improve or train generalised or non-personalised AI or machine-learning models.
- No human reads your Google user data unless you give us explicit permission for specific messages (for example, to help with a support request), it is necessary for security purposes such as investigating abuse, it is necessary to comply with applicable law, or the data has been aggregated and anonymised for internal operations. Because Gmail data stays on your computer, in practice we have no access to it.
7. Third-party services
Depending on the features you enable, BuyerIQ communicates directly from your computer with these services. Each one handles data under its own privacy policy.
| Service | When it is used | What is sent |
|---|---|---|
| Google (Gmail API, Google sign-in) | If you connect a Gmail account | OAuth sign-in; emails you send; requests to check for replies |
| Microsoft (Microsoft Graph, Microsoft sign-in) | If you connect an Outlook / Microsoft 365 account | OAuth sign-in; emails you send; requests to check for replies |
| Your email host (SMTP / IMAP) | If you connect a mailbox with a password | Your login over an encrypted connection; emails you send; requests to check for replies |
| Anthropic (Claude API) | If you configure an AI key | Your questions, relevant excerpts of your data or retrieved web pages, and, for reply drafts, the selected conversation |
| A web-search provider (for example Brave Search, Serper or Tavily) | If you configure a search key and run web research | Your search queries |
| Public websites | When web research retrieves a page | A standard request for that public page |
Without these keys or connections, BuyerIQ still works with your local data, and features that need them report that they are not available.
8. Sharing and selling
We do not sell, rent or trade personal information. We do not share your data with advertisers or data brokers. Apart from the services you choose to use (section 7), information is disclosed only if required by law or to protect rights and safety, and in that case only to the extent required.
9. Security
- Passwords, OAuth tokens and API keys are encrypted using your operating system’s credential store (on Windows, DPAPI) and are never stored in the database, logs or the app’s user interface.
- Google and Microsoft sign-ins use OAuth with PKCE, and BuyerIQ never handles your Google or Microsoft password.
- Connections to email servers must be encrypted (SSL/TLS or required STARTTLS).
- Because your data is stored on your computer, keeping that device secure (operating-system updates, disk encryption, account passwords and backups) also protects your BuyerIQ data.
No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but we design BuyerIQ to keep sensitive data local and encrypted.
10. Retention and deletion
Data stays in your local BuyerIQ database until you delete it. You can delete records, leads and conversations in the app, disconnect email accounts, revoke access as described in section 5, or uninstall BuyerIQ and delete its data folder to remove everything from your computer. Note that the in-app Reset Data action does not remove email conversations. Delete those separately if you want them gone.
Data already sent to a third-party service you configured (for example an AI provider) is retained under that service’s own policy.
11. Your choices and rights
You control your BuyerIQ data directly on your device: you can view, export, correct and delete it at any time. Depending on where you live, you may also have legal rights to access, correct, delete or restrict the processing of personal information, or to object to it. Because we do not hold your BuyerIQ data, most requests are fulfilled directly in the app. For any other request, contact us at ritesh252641@gmail.com.
If you send emails with BuyerIQ, you are responsible for complying with the laws that apply to your outreach, such as anti-spam and data-protection laws, and for honouring opt-out requests.
12. This website
This website is a static information site. It has no user accounts, sets no cookies, and uses no analytics or advertising trackers. It loads the Inter typeface from Google Fonts, which means your browser requests font files from Google. Our hosting provider (Hostinger) may keep standard server logs, such as IP address, browser type and pages requested, for security and operation of the service. If you email us, we use your message and address only to reply to you.
13. Children
BuyerIQ is a business tool and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
14. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as BuyerIQ changes. When we do, we will update the effective date above. If a change materially affects how Google user data is used, we will make the change clear before it applies and, where required, ask for your consent.
